Academic background:

Amos Oladele POPOOLA holds a 2007 PhD in Applied Mathematics from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso Nigeria. He took part in some research oriented courses organised by the National Mathematical Centre Abuja Nigeria in 2001, 2002 and 2006. He attended LMS-EPSRC training courses organised by the Herriot-Watt University, Edinburgh Scotland in 2011, St Anne’s College, Oxford University, Oxford and the University College London in 2012. He is a Professor of Mathematics since 2017, specialising in Combustion Theory and Mathematical modelling. His career has made him to occupy some academic positions in the University ranging from Departmental Coordinator, Acting Head of Department (four times), Acting Dean of Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences (Thrice), Acting Director of Information Management and Technology Centre, Director of Research and Linkages, Director, Office of Research and Innovation Management, Provost of the College of Science, Engineering and Technology. Chairman, Committee of Provosts, Deans and Directors. Amos is the current Director of Quality Assurance.and he has been serving as the Treasurer of the Nigerian Association of Mathematical Physics since 2010.
