The inaugural lecture slated for 1st April, 2020 will no longer hold due to Federal and State governments' ban on any form of gathering as a measure to control the COVID-19 pandemic.

One of the lecturers of the department of Zoology of Osun State University, Dr. Olabanji Ahmed Surakat has recently been awarded the ARNTD/UKAID/USAID grant for the year 2020. The researcher alongside the other twelve researchers was awarded 25, 000 USD each to implement studies on Neglected Tropical Diseases.
