Bolaji Olumuyiwa Omitola, a professor of political science is currently the Dean, Faculty of the Social Sciences, Osun State University, Nigeria. Prior to this appointment Dr. Omitola served as Director, Entrepreneurial Studies, Acting Dean, Students' Affairs of the University and Head of Department of Political Sciences in the College of Management and Social Sciences of Osun State University, Okuku Campus. Prof. Omitola attended University of Lagos, Lagos from 1987 to 1991 for his undergraduate education programme and University of Ibadan, Ibadan for his postgraduate programmes between 1993 and 2008. He obtained Bachelor of Science, Political Science (with Second Class Upper Division) in the year 1991; Masters in Political Science (with Specialisation in Public Administration) in 1994 and PhD in Political Science in 2008.
Dr. Omitola started his teaching career in The Polytechnic, Ibadan in 1994 as an Associate Lecturer in General Studies. He later joined the service of Olabisi Onabanjo University in 1996 as Assistant lecturer in the Department of Political Science in 1996. In the year, 2010, he joined the service of Osun State University and became the Acting Head of Department of Political Science in April of the year 2010.
Prof. Omitola lectures and conducts research in the following areas: political institution, comparative politics and public administration. This is reflected in his research that have interrogated issues like Nigerian federalism, party system and political parties conflicts, ethnicity, ethno-regional agitations, religious fundamentalism, resource distribution, terror and security. He is involved in various committees assignment within the university.
He has published in local and international journals and peer reviewed books. Dr. Michaeline Asuquo Isawumi received her MBBCh degree from University of Calabar in 1989, MSc Community Eye Health 2002 from University College London, Fellows Nigeria Post graduate Medical College 2003, Fellows West African College of Surgeons 2004, Fellow International College of Surgeons 2007. This was followed by subspecialty fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus obtained from L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India 2009. She is currently an Associate Professor. She has been the Acting Head of Department of Surgery since 2012, and the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences in 2012- 2014, and 2015 to date.

Professor Akintayo Dayo Idowu is currently the Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences. He was born four decades ago at Odeomu township in Ayedaade Local Government Area of Osun State. He attended Community Grammar School. Ayetoro Tonkere between 1981-1985, where he obtained O/Level School Certificate with distinction.
He further attended the then Oyo State College of Arts and Sciences (now Osun State College of Sciences), Ile-Ife between 1986-1988, where he obtained Advanced Level WAEC Certificate. He further his education to the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, where he obtained B.Ed English Studies certificate with Second Class Upper Division between 1989-1992.
He served his nation between 1992-1993 through the NYSC programme where he served as the Corps Liaison Officer in Enugu State. He got the award as the best Corper of the year. He advanced in his education by obtaining Academic Master Degree certificate in Social Welfare between 1994-1995 at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan. He enrolled for Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan in 1997. He completed his PhD Degree programme in year 2000 with specialization in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management.
He further bagged his Bachelor of Theology (BTh) and Master of Theology (MTh) at the Christian Theological Seminary, Ibadan, between 1995-1996 and 2001-2002 respectively. He registered for post Doctoral master degree in Managerial Psychology, at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, between 2002-2004. He joined the service of Olabisi In a banjo University Ago-Iwoye in Year 2002 as a Research Fellow II. As a result of his outstanding research outputs, he was regraded to the grade level of Research Fellow I in year 2003.
He was promoted to the position of Senior Research Fellow in year 2006. In year 2009, he was employed as an Associate Professor of Human Resources Management by Osun State University, Osogbo. Thus he became the pioneer acting Head of Department of Human Resource Management at Okuku Campus. He got. his Professorial Chair in Osun State University, Osogbo in year 2012. He is currently the Head of Okuku campus of Osun State University.
Professor AkIntayo has attended some local, National and International Conferences. He has published over Sixty journal articles in both local, National and International reputable refereed journals. Tunde Decker is Dean of the Faculty of Humanities. He is Professor of African Social History and Everyday Life. He researches the thoughts, emotions, self-apprehensions, and memory of everyday people in colonial and postcolonial periods and examines how these people engage society in their consciousnesses. His researches have been funded by the Leventis Foundation in London, the Africa-Oxford Initiative in Oxford, the Urban Studies Foundation in Scotland, the American Council of Learned Societies African Humanities Program in New York, the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva and the University of Ghana, Legon. He was at different times, Visiting Scholar and Guest Lecturer at the African Studies Centre, Oxford University, Department of African Studies and Anthropology, University of Birmingham, the Centre for African Studies, SOAS University of London, the African Studies Centre, Cambridge University, the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and the University of Ghana, Legon. He was Head of the Department of History and International Studies from 2017 - 2022. He is author of A History of Aviation in Nigeria 1925-2005 (2008), Matrix of Inherited Identity: A Historical Exploration of the Underdog Phenomenon in Nigeria's Relationship Strategy 1960-2011 (2016) and co-edited For Nature and For People: The Story of the Nigerian Conservation Foundation since 1980 (2007). He recently completed a book manuscript titled Selfie: Everyday agency in everyday people in colonial Lagos 1940-1960. His articles have appeared in History in Africa, AFRICA: The Journal of the International African Institute, Journal of Asian and African Studies, the SAGE Encyclopedia of World Poverty, Vestiges Traces of Record and a number of other journals. He is at present the Principal Investigator of Nigerian Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Institutional Based Research on the assessment of value preferences among children and adolescents in south west Nigeria. Prof. O. O. Soriyan is a Professor of Chemistry and the Acting Provost of the College of Education. He graduated in 1981 from the University of Ife with the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) honours, degree in Chemistry. He subsequently bagged Master of Science (M.Sc) degrees of the University of Ife (1987) and as well as a Doctor of Philosophy (Chemistry) of the Obafemi Awolowo University (2007). Professor Soriyan joined the service of the Obafemi Awolowo University in 1983 as a graduate assistant. He was regraded assistant lecturer on the completion of his M.Sc. programme in 1984; promoted a lecturer II in 1987, lecturer I in 1992, a senior lecturer in 1996 and a reader in 2007. Osun State University appointed him a Professor of Chemistry in 2010.
All the published articles of Prof. O. O. Soriyan were in the kinetics and mechanisms of chemical reactions in miceller medium and different media. He is a member of the Chemical Society of Nigeria, Science Forum of the commonwealth of the Bahamas, and New York Academy of Science. He was an examination officer of the department and students’ advisor as well as a class administrator. He was appointed to the Faculty Research Committee.
He was an elected member of Senate 1998 – 2000 and during this period, he represented the senate on the A & P committee. He was chairman of the task force on OAU dam in 1999; member of several investigating panels (e.g. series of theft in Maintenance Division) and served as a fellow of Awolowo Hall from 2001 – 2003. Prof. Soriyan has shown evidence of maturity and academic leadership by his publications and supervision of many undergraduate, supervision of five Masters graduate students and two Ph.D students who have successfully completed their degrees. Professor Soriyan was appointed the Acting Provost on 1st of August, 2011.

Professor Gbolagade had supervised undergraduate and postgraduate research works. He had also served in several administrative capacities within the University system including membership and chairmanship of several Academic Committees and as Head of Department of Mathematics. Professor Akintayo Dayo Idowu is currently the Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences. He was born four decades ago at Odeomu township in Ayedaade Local Government Area of Osun State. He attended Community Grammar School. Ayetoro Tonkere between 1981-1985, where he obtained O/Level School Certificate with distinction.
He further attended the then Oyo State College of Arts and Sciences (now Osun State College of Sciences), Ile-Ife between 1986-1988, where he obtained Advanced Level WAEC Certificate. He further his education to the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, where he obtained B.Ed English Studies certificate with Second Class Upper Division between 1989-1992.
He served his nation between 1992-1993 through the NYSC programme where he served as the Corps Liaison Officer in Enugu State. He got the award as the best Corper of the year. He advanced in his education by obtaining Academic Master Degree certificate in Social Welfare between 1994-1995 at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan. He enrolled for Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan in 1997. He completed his PhD Degree programme in year 2000 with specialization in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management.
He further bagged his Bachelor of Theology (BTh) and Master of Theology (MTh) at the Christian Theological Seminary, Ibadan, between 1995-1996 and 2001-2002 respectively. He registered for post Doctoral master degree in Managerial Psychology, at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, between 2002-2004. He joined the service of Olabisi In a banjo University Ago-Iwoye in Year 2002 as a Research Fellow II. As a result of his outstanding research outputs, he was regraded to the grade level of Research Fellow I in year 2003.
He was promoted to the position of Senior Research Fellow in year 2006. In year 2009, he was employed as an Associate Professor of Human Resources Management by Osun State University, Osogbo. Thus he became the pioneer acting Head of Department of Human Resource Management at Okuku Campus. He got. his Professorial Chair in Osun State University, Osogbo in year 2012. He is currently the Head of Okuku campus of Osun State University.
Professor AkIntayo has attended some local, National and International Conferences. He has published over Sixty journal articles in both local, National and International reputable refereed journals. He is gainfully married and blessed with children. He is currently the Dean. Faculty of Management Sciences and the Head of Okuku Campus. He has taught courses at both Diploma, Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels in the University.

A young and seasoned secretary of over 20 years experience span from private and public sectors, a native of Iwo in Iwo Local Government of the State of Osun. He had his primary education at L. A. Primary School, Laito, Iwo (1979-1984) and secondary education at Islahudeen Community Grammar School, Iwo (1984 – 1989) all in Osun State. Attended Osun State Polytechnic, Iree where he bagged National Diploma in Secretarial Administration in the year 1996, he also proceeded to the Federal Polytechnic, Ede where he graduated with Upper Credit at Higher National Diploma (HND) in Secretarial Administration in the year 2004. He joined the Service of Osun State University in the year 2007 a Confidential Secretary I and has a result of hard work and improved performance had rose to the rank of a Principal Confidential Secretary II. He has attended several workshops both local and international.
He is happily married with children.
As a Principal Confidential Secretary II, I performed the following duties:
1. Drafting and typing of memorandum and letters for the Provost’s endorsement.
2. Receiving and attending to visitors both internal and external.
3. Serves as Secretary to various University, College and Faculty Committee.
4. Managing the office of the Provost
5. Supervision of staff (clerical, office assistant, corps members etc) in the Provost’s office.
6. Performs other functions as may be directed by the Provost.

Professor Olaide Abass Gbadamosi, a Professor of Migration Law is a member of Senate, Committee of Provosts, Deans and Directors, Board of Postgraduate Studies. Professor. O. A. Gbadamosi attended Igbinedion University, Okada, University of Benin and Nigerian Law School, Abuja respectively.
He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Benin Branch, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, United Kingdom, Chartered Institute of Marketing, United Kingdom, Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, United Kingdom, Nigerian Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management, Nigerian Marketing Association, Nigerian Association of Law Teachers and International Bar Association.

Prof. Abayomi Kizito FOLORUNSO, Professor of French Language and Linguistics is currently the Provost of the Humanities and Culture. Throughout the three years he spent at the University of Benin, Professor Folorunso enjoyed the Federal Government Merit Award and also attended the prestigious University of Ibadan for Master degree in French in 1985. He bagged his Ph.D in Lyon, France. He was an Associate Professor in 2008 and became a Professor in 2011.
At the French Village, he was the Head of the Academic Unit in 2001 before he later became the Head of Linguistics Department when various Departments were created in 2003.
Professor Folorunso has served in various capacities as a lecturer, administrator and researcher. He has to his credit over thirty journal articles published in both local and foreign journals of high repute and international recognition.
Dr. Anthony Kola-Olusanya, B.Sc, M.Sc, PhDActing Dean, Faculty of Education
Anthony Kola-Olusanya, PhD is presently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Geography, Faculty of the Social Sciences, College of Management and Social Sciences, Osun State University. He received his PhD from the University of Toronto, specializing in Environmental Sustainability. He has honed his teaching and research skills at the Osun State University, Nigeria; Queen’s University, Kingston, Canada and the Lagos State University, Nigeria.
His research interests include human dimension of environmental crises, resources and environmental management, sustainable development (green growth and economy), environmental sustainability, resources and environmental management, indigenous environmental practices and management, as well as socio-environmental issues arising from environmental degradation and climate change. He has presented papers on wide ranging environmental issues including human dimensions of environmental problems, at numerous national and international conferences. As well, Dr. Kola-Olusanya has also published in both local and international learned journals and has contributions in books.
In 2013, Dr. Kola-Olusanya was a Visiting Scholar at the Centre for Environmental Philosophy, University of North Texas, USA. He is a member of several academic and professional organizations including Association of Nigerian Geographers, Environmental Management Association, International Water Association (IWA), Environmental Studies Association of Canada (ESAC) and Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD) to name a few. In 2014, Dr. Kola-Olusanya was appointed an Associate Expert at the UNESCO Institute for African Culture and International Understanding (IACIU), Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Nigeria.
Dr. Kola-Olusanya has served on various university statutory and ad hoc committees including the Appointment and Promotions Committee, Board of Postgraduate Studies, Committee of Deans, Provosts and Directors, Business Committee of Senate, Development Committee. He has been the Vice Dean Student Affairs between 2009 and 2012, Acting Dean of Students’ Affairs 2012/2013 academic session. He was also the Acting Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences 2013/2014: Presently he is the Acting Dean of Student Affairs for the University. He is the inaugural editor-in-chief of Annals of Social Science, the official peer reviewed journal of the Faculty of the Social Sciences, Osun State University.
