Functions/Responsibilities of the Unit

The Payroll Management System covenant with the monetary aspects of employee’s remuneration, stipends, subtractions, gross pay, net pay etc.. and creation of pay-slips for a particular time period.

Our Payroll Management System provides the command to:

  • Deal with Employee Information professionally.
  • Describes in detail about the compensation, deductions, leaves etc.
  • Generates all the Reports related to an employee, attendance/leave, payroll etc.
  • Creates Pay-record and Pay Sheet all at the click of a mouse.
  • Create and administer appropriately the Payroll Processes according to the remuneration configuration allocated to the individual employee.

The financial records of our organisations employees’ salaries, wages, bonuses, allowances, and deductions are handled by payroll.

Salary refers to the amount employees are paid for services rendered during a specific period. It is essential because laws and regulations govern it (e.g. in Nigeria, Payroll is subject to Personal Income Tax Acts).

The core objective of payroll processing is to make sure that there are no discrepancies, and the employee is paid impartially every month.

This may sound like a straightforward task, there are many stages involved. The final salary includes countless additions and deductions such as taxes, insurance, provident fund, gratuity, and others.

Payroll unit is saddled with responsibilities below:-

  • Issuing payslips, which is done electronically
  • Reporting and submitting payroll taxes (income tax and social security contributions) to the respective authorities.
  • Ensuring payroll compliance by filing other mandatory reports for which payroll data is required
  • Keeping payroll records and fulfilling other payroll accounting tasks

In Nigeria, payroll compliance is a critical aspect of managing a business, our payroll unit adhere to various regulatory requirements to ensure employers pay their employees accurately and on time while also meeting the government's statutory deductions obligations

Osun state payroll unit effectively comply with Nigeria payroll laws by keeping detailed payroll records for each employee, including the employee's name, address, date of birth, nationality, job title, salary, and taxes deducted.

  1. Receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  2. Keeping accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and transactions using Admon software.
  3. Conducting regular stock counts to reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
  4. Preparing the necessary document for payment after inspecting and receiving the goods.
  5. Preparing end of the year stock balance.

Functions and Responsibilities of the Unit

  • Receiving, issuing and distribution of goods to the end users.
  • Maintenance of store documents e.g. bin cards, store issues vouchers etc.,
  • Verifying all incoming inventory
  • Check inventory records for accuracy and correctness
  • Receiving and dispatching goods to campuses
  • Preparation of the end of the stock stocking
  • Find, sort and move goods to various campuses.
  • Safeguarding stored inventory against theft and damages
  • Coordination with vendors for delivery of orders
  • Quality control by ensuring store items meet set standard
  • Analysis of aging of stock and communicate the Bursar about the obsolete stock
  • Provide information for the Bursar on stock level of items in the store that need reorder.
