Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position of Deputy Director in the Directorate of Works, Maintenance, and Physical Planning of the University.

REQUIREMENT FOR THE POSITION OF DEPUTY DIRECTOR

i. The applicant must possess a good first degree (Bachelor's) (not lower than Second-Class Lower Division) in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University, plus at least twelve (12) years post-qualification experience, ten (10) of which must be in similar jobs;
ii. Candidates should be registered with both COREN (Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria and NSE (Nigerian Society of Engineers).
iii. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and must have high computer proficiency;
iv. Candidates must have served as Chief Engineer (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) for at least four (4) years in a University System;
v. Candidates must be able to initiate, execute, and/or coordinate all minor works, maintenance activities, and capital projects in the University;
vi. Candidates must demonstrate evidence of accomplishment as a Chief Engineer in a University system with clear evidence of output both in IGR projects and externally funded projects;
vii. Each applicant is to submit a 2500-word mission and vision statement;
viii. The applicant must include: an application letter, a Curriculum Vitae, a mission and vision document, photocopies of credentials, attestations, and evidence of performance; and
ix. Must show ability to give effective leadership in a University of a complex nature.

13. Work Experience with Dates, including full details of former and present posts
14. Present Employment Status and Salary
15. List of Publications (If any)
16. Extra-Curricular Activities
17. Any other relevant information that would facilitate a positive review of your application
18. Names and Addresses of three (3) relevant referees.
