B.A Falana is a Lecturer II officer in the Department of Anatomy, College of Health sciences, Osun State University.
He obtained his first degree in Anatomy from the University of Ilorin in 2002, and proceeded to the Obafemi Awolowo University where he obtained a M.Sc degree with a Ph.D grade in 2009. Falana, Benedict Abiola is currently pursuing a Ph.D degree at the Department of Anatomy, College of Medicine University of Lagos and has co-Authored over 10 papers in reputable international journals, he is a member of the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO), Anatomical Society of Nigeria (ASN), and American College of Endocrinologist, (ACE). 

Research Interests:
His area of specialization is Reproductive Endocrinology. He has bias for Unbiased Stereology, Telemedicine, Endocrine and Reproductive Anatomy. He is actively involved in Entrepreneurship Development and Empowerment programs especially for the youth. He is a motivational speaker. 

Falana Benedict has special interest in Curriculum Development. He is a strong advocate of vertical and horizontal integration within and between Basic Medical and Clinical Sciences. In addition, he is a proponent and supporter of the use of Problem-Based Learning in Medical School.

Research Achievements:
*The Intracranial visual relay centers’ enzymatic activities following chronic administration of Neem in Rattus norvegicus
*Histology and Histochemistry of the Superior colliculus and Lateral geniculate bodies of the Wistar rats
*Gastro protective activity of Neem on ethanol-induced gastric lesion in Rattus norvegicus

Scientific contributions
Published key articles mostly in reputable journals of Gastroenterology, Reproduction and Neuroanaromy.

• Group leader/ Principal investigator in the lead poisoning research at the department of Anatomy College of medicine University of Lagos Nigeria
• Faculty member Group Audit on Anatomical Variation (GAAV) at the department of Anatomy LASUCOM Ikeja Lagos Nigeria
• Member the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO), American College of Endocrinologist, (ACE).
