Postgraduate Eligibility & Admission
General notice: NYSC incomplete? Currently in another PG programme? Awaiting degree? Do not apply - automatic disqualification.
Automatic disqualification
- NYSC incomplete: Candidates who have not completed the National Youth Service Corps programme are NOT eligible.
- Currently in postgraduate programme: If you are currently undergoing any PG programme, do not apply.
- Awaiting Bachelor's results: Candidates awaiting Bachelor’s degree results need not apply.
- Outreach/Satellite degree: Degree obtained from an Outreach/Satellite centre is NOT acceptable.
Any such applicant will be automatically disqualified - no exceptions.
O’Level requirements (all PG)
- Minimum of 5 credits, including English Language and four other relevant subjects, obtained at not more than two sittings (unless otherwise specified for specific programmes).
- O’Level results dated up to 2017: Candidates must present original certificates at screening - statements of results or result slips are unacceptable.
Master’s & PhD programmes
Academic Master’s degree
- Minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) in the Bachelor’s degree programme.
PhD admission
- Holder of Master’s degree with a minimum score of 60% weighted average or CGPA of 3.50.
Transcript - mandatory
- Submission of an official academic transcript is a pre‑requisite for admission.
- All transcripts must reach the Deputy Registrar / Administrative Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies on or before the start of the session for which admission is sought.
Deadline: before session start. Late transcripts may void admission.
