UNIOSUN University Council & Governing Board | Leadership & Governance

The University Council serves as the supreme governing body of Osun State University (UNIOSUN), with statutory authority under the Osun State University Law and relevant Nigerian higher education legislation. Composed of internal and external members, the Council holds ultimate responsibility for the overall strategic direction, policy formulation, financial oversight, and accountability of the institution. It ensures alignment with national educational goals, promotes academic excellence, fosters institutional autonomy, safeguards stakeholder interests, and drives sustainable development and good governance.
