Training in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria (2009), University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (2010), Nigerian Institute of Medical Research, Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria (2014); Training in Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing and Surveillance, Ruhr-University, Bochum, Germany (2016).

Current/Recent Research

Study of bacterial pathogenesis and antimicrobial resistance surveillance. I use culture-dependent, immunoassay, and genomic techniques for the identification and characterization of pathogens, including potentially pathogenic bacteria implicated in infectious diseases; screen for hydrolytic enzymes, profile antibiotic resistance, and identify virulence and resistance genes in pathogenic bacteria for surveillance. I also seek to investigate the efficacy of bioactive compounds from indigenous plants and environmental microbes against multidrug-resistant pathogens
1. Molecular characterization and genetic diversity of carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB) associated with bacteriuria from pregnant women
2. Surveillance studies on Burkholderia pseudomallei recovered from clinical and environmental sources in Osun State, Nigeria.
3. Antibacterial potential of bio-synthesised Cu and Ag nanoparticles from wild lettuce against Burkholderia pseudomallei
4. Antibacterial activity of Biogenic Silver and Iron Nanoparticles from Corn Silk Extract, aiming agr-typed Staphylococcus aureus from Bovine Milk
5. Phytofabrication, Characterization and Antibacterial Potential of Date Seed Extract-Mediated Silver and Iron Nanoparticles Against Fish-Borne Multidrug-Resistant Acinetobacter baumannii
6. Assessment of the evolving resistance of clinical pathogens to neoteric-β-Lactam /β-lactamase inhibitor combinations.
7. Antibiotic Resistance Profiling of Colistin-Resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa in Southwest Nigeria
