Tunde Decker is Dean of the Faculty of Humanities. He is Professor of African Social History and Everyday Life. He researches the thoughts, emotions, self-apprehensions, and memory of everyday people in colonial and postcolonial periods and examines how these people engage society in their consciousnesses. His researches have been funded by the Leventis Foundation in London, the Africa-Oxford Initiative in Oxford, the Urban Studies Foundation in Scotland, the American Council of Learned Societies African Humanities Program in New York, the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva and the University of Ghana, Legon. He was at different times, Visiting Scholar and Guest Lecturer at the African Studies Centre, Oxford University, Department of African Studies and Anthropology, University of Birmingham, the Centre for African Studies, SOAS University of London, the African Studies Centre, Cambridge University, the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and the University of Ghana, Legon. He was Head of the Department of History and International Studies from 2017 - 2022. He is author of A History of Aviation in Nigeria 1925-2005 (2008), Matrix of Inherited Identity: A Historical Exploration of the Underdog Phenomenon in Nigeria's Relationship Strategy 1960-2011 (2016) and co-edited For Nature and For People: The Story of the Nigerian Conservation Foundation since 1980 (2007). He recently completed a book manuscript titled Selfie: Everyday agency in everyday people in colonial Lagos 1940-1960. His articles have appeared in History in Africa, AFRICA: The Journal of the International African Institute, Journal of Asian and African Studies, the SAGE Encyclopedia of World Poverty, Vestiges Traces of Record and a number of other journals. He is at present the Principal Investigator of Nigerian Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Institutional Based Research on the assessment of value preferences among children and adolescents in south west Nigeria. He is also Co-Investigator, United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)- International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD)-Osun State University (UNIOSUN) Project on Empowering Women and Youth Entrepreneurship through Yoruba Oral Arts in Southwest Nigeria.

Prof. Olatunde , Ganiyu Olatunji ia an experienced scholar and award winning Lecturer in Applied Entomology, a member Entomological Society of Nigeria, Nigerian Society of Plant Protection and Agricultural Society of Nigeria. He has been actively involved in many professional development activities which are research studies on problems of stored foods and cash crops, and pest control/fumigation services for companies and government parastatals.

Prof. Ganiyu Olatunji OLATUNDE is a Professor of Entomology. He has a B. Sc. Degree Second Class Upper in Zoology of the University of Lagos and an M. Sc. in Agricultural Biology and PhD n Agriculture, both of the University of Ibadan. He was a Research Officer I at the Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute, Lagos and a Research Fellow of the International Institute for Tropical Research, Ibadan.
He joined the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB) as a Lecturer II (Entomology) in 1989 and rose to the position of as Associate Professor before he was appointed a Professor of Entomology by the Osun State University in 2009. A well experienced University scholar, Prof. Olatunde was a congregational representative on Senate, Member of the UNAAB Governing Council, Ag. Head of Department of Crop Protection, Deputy Dean, College of Plant Science and Crop Production, UNAAB, Coordinator, SIWES, Osun State University, Senate Representative on the Governing Council of the Osun State University, the Director, Academic Planning of the University and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor. He was also the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Osun State University before the second Vice-Chancellor was appointed.
Prof. Olatunde is an experienced Scholar in Applied Entomology, a member Entomological Society of Nigeria, Nigerian Society of Plant Protection and Agricultural Society of Nigeria. He has attended series of national and international training courses and conferences and has been actively involved in many professional development activities and research studies on problems of stored foods and cash crops, and pest control/fumigation services for companies and government parastatals. Prof. O. O. Soriyan is a Professor of Chemistry and the Acting Provost of the College of Education. He graduated in 1981 from the University of Ife with the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) honours, degree in Chemistry. He subsequently bagged Master of Science (M.Sc) degrees of the University of Ife (1987) and as well as a Doctor of Philosophy (Chemistry) of the Obafemi Awolowo University (2007). Professor Soriyan joined the service of the Obafemi Awolowo University in 1983 as a graduate assistant. He was regraded assistant lecturer on the completion of his M.Sc. programme in 1984; promoted a lecturer II in 1987, lecturer I in 1992, a senior lecturer in 1996 and a reader in 2007. Osun State University appointed him a Professor of Chemistry in 2010.
All the published articles of Prof. O. O. Soriyan were in the kinetics and mechanisms of chemical reactions in miceller medium and different media. He is a member of the Chemical Society of Nigeria, Science Forum of the commonwealth of the Bahamas, and New York Academy of Science. He was an examination officer of the department and students’ advisor as well as a class administrator. He was appointed to the Faculty Research Committee.
He was an elected member of Senate 1998 – 2000 and during this period, he represented the senate on the A & P committee. He was chairman of the task force on OAU dam in 1999; member of several investigating panels (e.g. series of theft in Maintenance Division) and served as a fellow of Awolowo Hall from 2001 – 2003. Prof. Soriyan has shown evidence of maturity and academic leadership by his publications and supervision of many undergraduate, supervision of five Masters graduate students and two Ph.D students who have successfully completed their degrees. Professor Soriyan was appointed the Acting Provost on 1st of August, 2011.
